Purchase! - Illusionz Prescription Marble Gray (RX) Contact lenses! From www.rainbowcomplete.com

Hey Guys, I'm back with another review for Contact Lenses! Now, many of you don't know but I was a religious contact wearer in my teens(13-16)! Suddenly I stopped wearing, them, I didn't like the feeling of putting something in your eyes and then having my eyes burn, irritated, and be red! Now it wasn't all the time that it would occur but literally at school alot of people would comment how Red my eyes were! YIKES! So, I decided to give my eyes a break and stopped wearing prescription/plano lenses. ANDDDDDDD once I stopped I never really looked back at wearing them. I absolutely hated the feeling of having them in my eyes(Freshlook Colour Blends; Sapphire Blue, I'm looking at you). Being 21 now, and having all sort of social media, I saw the infamous Desio Lens that everyone was raving about and that kind of got me back into them!  I purchased those and kind of got addicted.  Now, I needed more but $52.00 CDN was not the price I was willing to pay! And BAM!
There it was...

RAINBOWCOMPLETE.com is a leading online contact lens and eyewear retailer.
They offer a reliable and affordable selection from Fine&Clear, a leading personal care brand in the United States.
They help consumers find the perfect fit contact lenses providing safety and comfort, at the most affordable prices.
With their distribution network, RAINBOWCOMPLETE.com serves customers in North America (US, Canada) and East Asia (Japan, South Korea, China) Europe, and Middle East.
RAINBOWCOMPLETE.com is the Official Authorized Retailer of Fine & Clear Rainbow Complete Color Contact Lenses.

Now when I purchased the Desio Lens in Desert Dream I purchased them in plano because they were $52.00 CDN a pair and even though I wear prescription, that's all I could afford. Desio Lens do not make custom lens pairs for individual's such as my self. My right eye is -1.25, while my left eyes power is -1.75. So with that being said I'd have to purchase two sets of lenses! One for -1.25 and one for -1.75! And that'd cost me around $102.00 CDN. Yikes! But I'd get two pairs in the end, so I guess that cancels out but still $102.00 CDN for a university student is still cray! I have priorities y'know?!

While browsing other YouTube videos, I found a review about www.rainbowcomplete.com and decided to check it out. To my surprise there were several brands, colors, style etc and they were all very affordable! The Price range on the brands that are listed vary from $15.00 USD to $25.00 USD!
AWESOME! Even with the Canadian Conversion rate they were still pretty CHEAP, including the prescription lenses!
I'm kind of at that stage now where I don't want to wear my glasses in Public(which I barely do), but especially while driving, so I decided to take a look at the Rx Lenses. The Rx lenses have 16 different options. Based on my skin tone, I wanted something natural looking, something that wouldn't overly exert the fake-eyes LOL. So whenever glancing at contacts I always lean towards the green/gray side or sometimes even gray/blue. My First choice was Blendy's Prescription Jade Green, a beautiful natural looking green, but I was quickly talked out of it by my sister who said my desio lens were already green and I should try something new. My sister herself had recently purchased the Illusionz Prescription Marble Gray , which were a blue/gray hint and suggested I buy those. After seeing them on her, I said what the hey?! They actually looked nice.

Now let me tell you how impulsive I am. In the moment I was like "yeah, they look great!" but as soon as I placed the order I freaked out! WHY? Because my sister is a lighter skin tone than me and I thought the contact lenses would look weird on me. All I could really do was wait.
Since the contacts were prescription and my prescription for both eyes is different (-1.25,-1.75) I had to order 2 pairs(similar to Desio Lens Policy). The Illusionz Prescription Marble Gray contacts cost $15.00 USD a pair so I had to order one set with the power -1.25 and one set with the power -1.75, which totalled to $30.00 USD! STILL LESS THAN DESIO!  Shipping is guaranteed with 14 days but I received my contacts within a week!

Here's the packaging

They're here! Packaging wise I, definitely think shipping material was better than Desio! They send you a cubic box where as Desio Lens put your contacts in a bubbled envelope. They are boxed neatly and every thing from the reciept, to instructions, to a dear valuable customer note is available. They also provide instructions on defects, and returns which is awesome.

First Impressions

Obviously, after recieving them I had to try them on. My right on lens went on with ease but it was my left lens that was giving me trouble. It was poking me, my eye felt irritated, it started to become red, it was HIGH SCHOOL ALL OVER AGAIN! I quickly removed the contact and was turned off by it but then I decided that you know maybe I should try again. After giving my eyes a break, I washed my hand thoroughly, soaked the lenses in contact lens solution and tried again... And still it was poking my eyes. And I had given up on these lenses. I was like "I am not going to torture my eyes again." And Put them away.

BUT

Last night I decided to try my lenses again for a video I was recording and was like let's try. I put on the right contact lens and it went on with ease. Now the dreaded left. I applied the left one and..... STILL irritation galore. I quickly removed it and put it back on the contact case. But then something clicked. MAYBE JUST MAYBE I should try flipping over the contact and try wearing it. So that's exactly what I did. and BEHOLD! No more irritation! I was so excited, finally! I had purchased these contacts and I could finally wear them with ease! But Obviously they didn't look natural like I had wished but still I like them!

During Wear

During the wear initially obviously I absolutely disliked it. But this time around they barely felt like they were there. I wore them for about 3+ hours and my eyes didn't dry out, I didn't feel any irritation, they almost felt invisible. Which is what contacts should feel like!

Here are some pictures of me wearing them.

Purchase! - Sephora Collection IT palette ; Colour Spectrum + Swatches

After starting my blog and seeing various people do their makeup, especially adding emphasis to the eyes, I knew I had to get a new eye shadow palette. I am way too familiar with the nudes and carry several nude palettes! I own the Urban Decay Naked Palette and the NYX Cosmetics Nude on Nude Palette which are great for neutral looks but I needed some colour in my life.

Being a Makeup-a-holic I usually just browse the Sephora website for sales and anything that I personally like. When browsing through the palette section I came across the Sephora Collection, which I have heards raves about. I decided to check out their Sephora Collection It Palettes which retailed at $40 CDN each ; Sephora Collection It Palette - Nude, Sephora Collection It Palette - Smoky & their limited edition Sephora Collection It Palette - Color Spectrum.

Now a lot of people may comment on how they can just purchase Too Face Palettes, for approxmaitely the same price BUT I purchased the Sephora Collection It Palette - Color Spectrum, on sale for $24.00 CDN, Talk about STEAL!

After seeing the price tag, I was like its definitely affordable, so I can afford it. Immediately, I looked online if it was available at my nearest Sephora(thank you Sephora for this!), which was 20 minutes away, and unfortunately it wasn't avaialble. The next Sephora was about 35 minutes away and I honestly didn't think it was worth driving there for a $24.00 palette then drive back. So instead I decided to have the palette shipped to my house.  Shipping in Canada is $7.95, with tracking provided, and guaranteed to be shipped within 8-14 days. Sephora also offers Free Shipping when your purchases exceeds $75.00 without taxes. You are also eligible to recieve three free samples regardless of your purchase total.

Now, I consider myself lucky, because when I purchased the palette I was expecting it to be shipped in 8-14 days but to my surprise it was only 4! Can you believe that! Talk about Fast and Immeadiate Shipping!

Here are the pictures of my Package!

Front of the Palette

Back of the Palette

So here it is! The Sephora Collection IT palette in Color Spectrum in it's plastic
covering. The Front just distinguishes the Product, The back of the packaging has more information regarding the colors, the product, it's ingredients, etc.

Out Of Packaging

The package is made with fabric so it imitates the feel of a clutch, Although not too useful if you wanna take it out with your outfit (or maybe it is! For Touch ups ofcouse!). It's really cute! The zig zag pattern adds that abstract feeling. The only thing I dislike, about the packaging, is the Fabric part! A lot of you might call me crazy, but hear me out okay! I am also the proud owner of the Naked Palette which is covered in Velvet. Obviously purchased before, but if any of you own it you know how hard it is to clean! I have other products that have kinda melted into the Velvet covering and I am absolutely scared that it'll happen to this too! So I'm definitely going to keep it in its plastic casing, for whenever I'm not using it. (OCD Much?!)

Inside of the Palette with product colors

This set contains:
- Double-sided Brush
- 0.039 oz Eye Pencil in Black
- 8 x 0.033 oz Eye Shadow in Rich Chocolate, Bold Bronze, Radiant Pink, Prismatic Purple, Brilliant Yellow, Iridescent Green, Magnetic Aqua, Blue Crystal
- 2 x 0.033 oz Eyeliner in Vivid White, Charcoal Black
- 0.033 oz Base in Soft Nude
- 0.033 oz Highlighter in Luminous Nude

So I am definitely IN LOVE! The Colours are so P.E.R.F.E.C.T for spring/summer which is coming up! They are so pigmented and glide on so easily! The Quality easily mimics high end brands! Sephora brushes have always been made high quality and are soft and super-durable! The Eye-liner is really pigmented and dark which I absolutely love since I have big eyes and also it's very valued to have an amazing Kajal-like liner in the South Asian Community!

Now, I know a lot of you are wondering....WHERE THE SWATCHES AT? Well here they are on my sister! We are of South Asian Descent so we have a very warm and yellow undertone. Our skins tan very easily so we are medium to medium-deep skin.

No Primer/No Flash

As you can see the Luminous Nude, Soft Nude are barely visible! Radiant Pink Has a very white pay-off. Bold Bronze appears to just be a light brown shimmer, and Brilliant yellow seems to be similar to the skin tone, and appears as a highlighter. The Rest of the colours appear on the skin as expected. Blue Crystal, Charcoal Black, Prismatic Purple, and Rich Chocolate are the impactful shades, appearing highly pigmented even without the primer.

No Primer/Flash

Luminous Nude and Soft Nude Fail to make a significant appearance even with flash. They're more like highlighter shade for my sisters skin tones. Luminous Nude, although, provides shimmer. Bold Bronze Does Provide the bronze hue, but fails to make a statement in my opinion without primer. The Radiant Pink Has more of a white pay off even in flash. Blue Crystal, Charcoal Black, Prismatic Purple, and Rich Chocolate are the impactful shades like mentioned.

With Primer
The Eyeshadow Primer that was used was e.l.f. Studio Eye Primer & Liner Sealer, which retails at $3.00 USD.

Primer/No Flash

WOW! What a difference! Now that's why eyeshadow primer is a necessity! Even colours like Luminous Nude and Soft Nude which weren't visible before can be seen! All The colours pack a punch! Im still not impressed with Radiant Pink, but still a PINK pay-off!

Primer/Flash

With Flash the colours look magnifique! So Pigmented and Gorgeous! Maybe adding an additional white base such as NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk would really make the colours P.O.P!

Now a Comparison of the two!

Comparison/No Flash

Comparison/Flash

WOW! Significant difference with primer! Even the colours that I said without primer looked great, look even BETTER with Primer! I am totally impressed and HAPPY!

This Palette Is Perfect for Spring/Summer and is definitely a must have!
